Internet Marketing |
The 1920’s mass media has led to change through technological advancements of the computers and personal netbooks, as well as the development of the Internet in 1990. Internet has opened the door to a cashless society where internet banking is made possible. Using the Internet, everything can be done indirectly. People can buy their fashion products and goods through online shopping, where it can be paid without the use of physical cash and delivered directly to your house. There is now no need to physically go to a shop to buy your required clothes. In fact, online shopping have even more advantages than going to a physical shop, with the ease of browsing through hundreds of clothes at a time under the cover of your home.
Online shopping has become a whole new level with the creation of fashion websites. People can view products and compare prices and specifications between different or among producers to decide which one to buy. The 1920s change in our modern society today can be seen by items that were not fashion items before, but the basic needs of living, such as: clothes, lingerie, watches, shoes, hats and handbags. Once these items have been labelled and marketed they turn into fashion items. This can be seen by Swiss watches (tell the time) and Louis Vouitton handbags (used to hold things that were necessary). Mass media has led to the ease of reaching potential customers. For example, there is no need for a physical shop in every city with the use of online shopping through a website. Customers would be able to select their clothing in their own time without the need of assistance. Time and space has been transcended once again with no time or distance constraint. The 1920s has led to change through the Internet and has ultimately changed the way consumers shop, order and consumer goods. |
